Get ready Get set...Pack

You know how when you are so excited to go on a trip you just want to leave, but theirs that little thing called packing that gets between you and actually leaving. Well I spent the majority of last night packing, organizing, re organizing, going over my list, and trying to figure out what we will need in the next 4 days. This is Hunter's first trip so I am supper excited to share the road and many memories to come with him. Its also my first trip without Taylor in a few years (we love traveling together) and will diffidently miss talking to him at 2 am when we are both trying to stay awake.
Its my Mom, Aunt Bev, Hunter and I going. We are leaving tonight and traveling to Gladewater, TX to my mom's brothers house. I am so excited to see our family. We haven't seen this family since Christmas when Hunter was only a month old and Aubri (my cousin's child) was 4 months old. It will be so much fun!!
So all the while I am trying to pack, I can't stop grinning because I am so excited.
For the past few weeks Ive been looking up tips for traveling with babies, getting everything I can in order to have successful trip. The big tips where be flexible, travel while baby sleeps, and take a change of cloths! Well I made my packing list (I will attempt to load it later), and started laundry. My goal is to pack light and only take things we will NEED! I think I did a pretty good job of this for the first time ever, I have packed 2 people in 1 little suitcase, one bag with blankets, diapers, toys, and camera and a cooler, and of course my pump and purse!! We will see what I forget... I hope nothing. Wish us luck and pray for a safe trip!

Life as We Know It

Where do I start? As I stated above I am a working mom and wife, also love to bake, do craft projects, watch my son grow, anything outdoors, and spending time with my husband and family. I have started this blog as a way to track this beautiful life God has blessed me with.

For starters Hunter is 7 months old and the happiest baby on earth. He truly amazes us every day with what he can do and see. Right now he laughs at everything, loves to stand and walk (with help of course), rolls all over the place, eats everything is sight and enjoys life. I exclusively pump breast milk for him and make all of his food. Both take up a vast amount of time, but I throughly enjoy doing it and seeing him grow and enjoy it makes every second worth it.

My husband, Taylor works road construction and is gone the majority of the time traveling around the mid west doing what he does best. I miss him terribly, but you will find I get a lot of projects and housework done while he is gone (it helps pass the time). He is the love of my life and high school sweetheart. We live on several acres in what we call a home but others would call it a trailer or mobile home, but its our home and will work until we build our dream home in a few years:) We enjoy it "out in the middle of no where" where our closest neighbor is a mile away and its my mom and dad in one direction and my grandparents in the other direction. Taylor is truly my rock he has supported me in everything including: high school, college, a kidney transplant, grad school, 7 weeks hospital bed rest, a baby, and the many career paths I have taken to find a job I thoroughly enjoy. All with a smile (or least words of encouragement and support) on his face and in his heart. At even at times when I doubt our purpose, he will remind me.

Oh and course there's Aspen our first born... She is a black lab and has to be the sweetest puppy (well almost 4 year old) on the planet. She is so protective of Hunter and us, but wouldn't hurt a fly. She has gotten a little lazy in the past few months, but will run at the sight of a rabbit. She loves to play fetch and swim in the lake, and always is up for a walk/run.

Other things in my life include attempting to make time for myself between work, Hunter, Taylor, and the house. Trying to figure out my niche in life, I enjoy doing so many things its hard to narrow it down and focus on one. I love craft project especially one that I can finish in an hour or two while Hunter is napping. I also enjoy baking and decorating cakes, and of course eating anything sweet. I enjoy the outdoors in any form, but winter is my favorite. We are all marvelously made by our creator, and it is my goal in life to live up to the potential God had placed on me. I can only wait to see what his plan is for us next... stay tuned.
